Peter Williams – Director of Coaching

Peter was an accomplished international sprinter and has achieved recognition as an Olympic coach. He attributes success in both areas to his love of the sport and clear focus on goals.
Whilst Peter identifies his proudest athletic achievement as being the fastest human being in water in 1988 (unfortunately during South Africa's sports isolation), he describes the challenges of coaching swimmers as infinitely more rewarding – “teaching young swimmers, nurturing talented athletes and educating other interested parties is a stimulating engagement and draws upon all my resources. It is great fun and I feel well used”.
Peter believes that South Africans have unique competitive advantages in the international arena and that we should become aware of what constitutes our national culture and heritage. Confidence, self-esteem and identity are the building blocks of success.

Francois Boshoff – Head Coach (Randburg)

Francois demands the utmost dedication to his coaching principles and he will be of immeasurable value value to Waterborn's future coaching plans.

He holds a BA Hons degree in theology and plans to do his masters in the near future and is currently busy doing a short course in sports ministry through the south African theological seminary.

Njabulo – Assistant Coach (Linden)

“I came, I saw, I floated”
Njabula has become a “real” sounding board on integration in Waterborn. He has managed to bring enthusiasm and encouragement to help build swimmers' confidence. He has also helped to develop a sense of belief in swimmers to do more and to do it properly.
He does have compassion to be forthright, yet gentle enough to help swimmers maintain perspective on their current status as well as the way forward.
Njabula's countrywide inter-cultural experience has thus far served positively in bringing new swimmers into the fold.
